Local Processing

Dash Pal: GPS Speedometer is designed to protect your privacy completely. All core functionality operates locally on your device:

• GPS Processing: All location and speed data is processed locally on your device
• Motion Sensors: Accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer data is processed in real-time locally
• Barometer Data: Altitude and pressure readings are processed locally
• Performance Calculations: All speed metrics, G-force calculations, 0-60/0-100 times, and quarter-mile measurements occur on your device
• Trip Data: All trip statistics, distance, duration, and route information remain on your device

We do not upload, access, store, or transmit your location data, trip information, or sensor readings to our servers. Your travel data remains completely private and under your control.

Location and Sensor Access

The App requires access to various device sensors to function:

• Location Services (GPS): Required for speed tracking, distance measurement, and navigation features
• Motion & Fitness: Used for accelerometer data to calculate G-forces and performance metrics
• Motion Sensors: Gyroscope and magnetometer for orientation, heading, and tilt detection
• Barometer: For altitude measurement and vertical speed calculation

This access is used solely for the stated functionality. All sensor data is processed locally and never transmitted to external servers.

Data Collection

Dash Pal: GPS Speedometer does not collect any personal data whatsoever. We do not collect:

• Yearly Subscription ($4.99/year): Unlocks all premium features with automatic yearly renewal
• Lifetime Purchase ($7.99 one-time): Unlocks all premium features permanently with no recurring charges

Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information. Apple may share limited information about your purchase with us, such as:

• Subscription status (active, expired, or cancelled)
• Purchase type (monthly, yearly, or lifetime)
• Anonymous transaction identifiers for verification

We do not receive any personal payment information, credit card details, or identifiable purchase data.

Third-Party Services

Apple Services

The App integrates with Apple services including:

• App Store Connect: For subscription and in-app purchase management

• HealthKit (Optional): For reading step count, heart rate, and active energy data if user grants permission

All processing through these frameworks occurs locally on your device. No data is transmitted to Apple or us through these services, except for standard App Store purchase verification.

HealthKit Integration (Optional)

If you choose to grant access, the app can read the following HealthKit data:

• Step count
• Heart rate
• Active energy burned

This data is:

• Only accessed when you explicitly grant permission
• Used solely to display health metrics within the app
• Never uploaded to our servers
• Never shared with third parties
• Processed entirely on your device

You can revoke HealthKit access at any time through iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Dash Pal.

Use of Your Personal Data

Since we do not collect any personal data, we do not use, process, store, or share any of your personal information. The app functions entirely locally on your device without any data transmission to external servers.

Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Since we do not collect any personal data, traditional privacy rights such as data access, correction, or deletion do not apply. However, you maintain complete control over:

• Location Access: You can manage location permissions in iOS Settings → Dash Pal → Location
• Motion & Fitness: You can control motion access in iOS Settings → Privacy → Motion & Fitness
• HealthKit Access: You can manage health data permissions in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices
• App Deletion: You can delete the app at any time, which removes all app data from your device

Data Retention

We do not retain any of your data because we do not collect any data. All trip information, performance metrics, and sensor readings processed by the app are:

• Stored locally on your device only
• Never transmitted to or stored on our servers
• Managed entirely by you through the app's interface
• Deleted when you delete the app or clear trip data

Data Security

Your privacy and security are protected through our no-data-collection approach:

• Local Processing Only: All calculations and data processing occur on your device
• No Data Transmission: Nothing is sent to external servers
• No Data Storage: We don't store any user data on our systems

Device means any device that can access the Service such as a smartphone or tablet.

Terms and Conditions (also referred to as "Terms") mean these Terms and Conditions that form the entire agreement between You and the Company regarding the use of the Service.

You refers to the individual accessing or using the Service.

Use License

Grant of License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

• Download, install, and use the Application on your personal mobile devices
• Use the Application for personal speed tracking, trip monitoring, and performance measurement
• Access various travel modes (car, bike, train, plane, boat, walk) and their respective dashboards
• Track performance metrics such as speed, distance, G-forces, and acceleration times

License Restrictions

You may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Application
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Application
• Use the Application for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices on the Application
• Attempt to disable or circumvent any security features of the Application
• Use the Application while operating a vehicle in a manner that violates traffic laws

Subscription and Purchase Terms

Free Features

Dash Pal: GPS Speedometer provides basic speed tracking features for free. Free features may include limited access to certain dashboards and metrics.

Premium Features

Premium features are available through the following options:

• Monthly Subscription ($0.99/month): Auto-renewable monthly subscription
• Yearly Subscription ($4.99/year): Auto-renewable yearly subscription (best value)
• Lifetime Purchase ($7.99 one-time): One-time purchase with no recurring charges

Subscription Management

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
• You can manage subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal in your Apple ID account settings
• Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription
• The lifetime purchase is a one-time payment with no expiration or renewal

Cancellation and Refunds

• You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods
• Refund requests are handled according to Apple's App Store refund policy

Acceptable Use

Permitted Uses

You may use the Application to:

• Track your speed and performance metrics while traveling
• Monitor trip statistics including distance, duration, and average speed
• Measure performance metrics like 0-60 times, quarter-mile times, and G-forces
• Record elevation gain/loss and altitude information
• Use different travel mode dashboards for various activities

Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Application to:

• Encourage or facilitate unsafe driving, speeding, or traffic violations
• Distract yourself while operating a vehicle in an unsafe manner
• Violate any local, state, national, or international traffic laws
• Interfere with or disrupt the Application's functionality
• Attempt to access premium features without proper authorization

User Responsibility and Safety

Safe Operation

You acknowledge and agree that:

• You are solely responsible for safe operation of any vehicle
• You must comply with all applicable traffic laws and speed limits
• The app should not be used as a primary navigation or speed reference while driving
• You should set up the app before beginning travel, not while in motion
• Performance features (0-60, quarter-mile) should only be used in controlled, legal environments

Accuracy Disclaimer

While we strive for accuracy, you acknowledge that:

• GPS-based speed and location measurements may have inherent inaccuracies
• Sensor readings (G-forces, altitude) are estimates and may vary
• Environmental factors can affect GPS accuracy
• The app is not a substitute for your vehicle's speedometer
• Performance timing features are for entertainment purposes only

Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Intellectual Property

Application Ownership

The Application, including its design, code, features, and all intellectual property rights, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws.

Disclaimers and Limitations

Service Availability

• Accuracy of speed, distance, or location measurements
• Reliability of GPS or sensor data
• Compatibility with all devices or iOS versions
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Traffic violations or fines resulting from app use
• Accidents or injuries related to vehicle operation
• Loss of data or trip information
• Damages resulting from inaccurate measurements
• Any other damages arising from use of the Application

Termination

Termination by You

You may terminate your use of the Application at any time by:

• Deleting the Application from your device
• Canceling any active subscriptions through your Apple ID settings

Termination by Us

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, without affecting any lifetime purchases you may have made.

Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your license to use the Application ends
• You should delete the Application from your devices
• Active subscriptions will continue until the end of the billing period
• Lifetime purchases remain non-refundable
• All locally stored data remains on your device

Updates and Modifications

Application Updates

We may update the Application to:

• Add new features and travel mode dashboards
• Improve accuracy and performance
• Enhance user interface and experience
• Fix bugs and improve stability
• Ensure compatibility with new iOS versions

Terms Updates

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through:

• In-app notifications
• Updates to this document

Continued use of the Application after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Romania, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Application will be resolved through good faith negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Romania.

Apple App Store Terms

If you download the Application from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:

• These Terms are between you and us, not Apple
• Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce these Terms against you
• Apple has no responsibility for the Application or its content
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Application
• In the event of any failure of the Application to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the Application
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the Application or your possession/use of the Application
• Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID and subject to Apple's subscription terms

Miscellaneous

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the use of the Application.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not constitute a waiver of future enforcement of that right or provision.

Acknowledgment

By using the Application, you acknowledge that:

• You have read and understood these Terms and Conditions
• You agree to be bound by these Terms
• You are at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction)
• You have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement
• Your use of the Application will comply with all applicable laws and traffic regulations
• You understand the safety warnings and will use the app responsibly
