Privacy Policy and Terms of Use
Last updated: October 11, 2026 · applies to version 2.0 and later
MatchFlare is a football app for live scores, fixtures, tables, line-ups, statistics, news, alerts, widgets and Live Activities. Before version 2.0 it was published as “World Football Cup 2026”. This page explains what information the app uses, what it does not use, and the terms that apply when you use it.
MatchFlare (the “app”) is made and published by PAUL CRP - App Development Studio, Romania (“we”, “us”). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
Questions or requests about privacy: devpaulcrp@gmail.com
The app keeps the following in its own storage on your iPhone or iPad:
Widgets and Live Activities read this information on the device. If you delete the app, its storage is deleted with it. The installation ID in the keychain may remain on the device and be used again if you install the app again. Apple may include the app’s storage in the device backups you have switched on.
Alerts have to be sent from a server, and the server has to know where to send them and what you want to hear about. For that purpose the app sends us the following. None of it contains your name, email address, phone number or Apple Account, and we do not use it to work out who you are.
| Information | What it is used for |
|---|---|
| Installation ID (random, created by the app) and a secret key, which the server stores only in scrambled (hashed) form | Recognising your installation and making sure nobody else can read or change its settings |
| Notification token issued by Apple for the app on your device | Delivering the alerts you asked for through Apple’s notification service |
| The teams, players and matches you follow, and the kinds of alert you switched on | Deciding which alerts to send you |
| Live Activity tokens, together with the match they belong to | Updating a Live Activity you started on your Lock Screen |
| Widget update token issued by Apple (iOS 26 and later), together with the matches you chose for a MatchFlare widget | Asking your MatchFlare widgets to refresh when one of your matches changes |
| App version, the language and region set on your device, and your time zone | Keeping the service compatible with your version of the app and presenting information appropriately |
| Whether you have Premium, the identifier of the App Store transaction that proves it and, for a yearly plan, the date the paid period ends | Unlocking paid features on the server and preventing misuse |
| The words you type when you search for a team or a player | Looking up the result. Player search results are stored for a limited time to answer repeat searches faster and are not linked to your installation |
| Technical request data, such as your internet (IP) address, the time and the page requested | Handled automatically by our hosting provider to deliver the service, keep it secure and prevent abuse |
If you do not follow anything and do not allow notifications, the server still receives the installation ID, app version, language and region, and time zone when the app starts.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their advertising or marketing.
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or similar law applies, we rely on these legal grounds:
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for access to your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its use, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw consent. Because we hold no name or email address for you, the in-app button is the quickest way to erase your data. For any other request, write to devpaulcrp@gmail.com and we will tell you how we can find the record of your installation. We do not treat anyone differently for using these rights.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In Romania this is the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP, dataprotection.ro); you may also contact the authority of the country where you live.
California and other US states: we do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Our database is in the European Union. Our hosting provider, Apple and the servers that host images and news pages may process the limited data described in section 4 in other countries, including the United States, under the safeguards described in their own policies, such as standard contractual clauses.
Data travels between the app and our server over encrypted connections. The secret key that protects your installation’s settings is stored on the server only in hashed form, and purchases are checked against Apple’s digital signature. No method of sending or storing data is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
MatchFlare is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13, or under the age at which your country lets a person agree to the use of their data. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the app, write to us and we will delete it.
You may use MatchFlare for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Your use of the app is also covered by Apple’s standard licence agreement. You agree not to misuse the app or the systems behind it: not to copy data from it in bulk or by automated means, not to interfere with or overload the service, not to get around purchases or security features, and not to use it in a way that breaks the law or other people’s rights.
MatchFlare is independent. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by or connected to any league, competition organiser, federation, confederation, club, national team, player, broadcaster or sponsor. Names of competitions, clubs and players, and club and competition crests and logos, belong to their owners and appear in the app only to identify the matches, teams and competitions that the information refers to.
If you own rights in something shown in the app and want it corrected or removed, write to devpaulcrp@gmail.com and we will deal with it promptly.
Scores, fixtures, kick-off times, tables, line-ups, statistics, commentary, player information and news come from third-party data providers and publicly available sources, which may change. This information can be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and may be corrected later. Notifications, widgets and Live Activities depend on Apple’s systems, your device’s settings and your connection, and can arrive late or not at all.
MatchFlare is for information and entertainment. It is not an official source for any competition, and you should check official sources before relying on anything important. The app does not offer betting or gambling and does not give betting advice.
Headlines, summaries and photos belong to their publishers and are shown with their source and a link to the full story. We do not write, check or endorse them and are not responsible for the content of publishers’ pages.
Premium is offered in two ways, and both unlock the same features: a yearly plan, which is a subscription, and a lifetime purchase, which is paid once. Either is paid through your Apple Account; Apple handles payment, receipts, taxes and refunds under its own terms. You can restore Premium on your devices with “Restore purchases”. If you bought Premium in World Football Cup 2026, you keep it. The features included in Premium, and those available without it, may change in later versions; a feature that depends on information we cannot obtain for a match or competition may show less for that match or competition.
Yearly plan. The price is shown in the app before you buy. The plan lasts one year and renews automatically for another year, at the price then in force, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel the plan at any time in your Apple Account settings; cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves Premium active until the end of the period already paid for. If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it ends when you buy the plan.
Lifetime purchase. A single payment that does not renew. If you hold a yearly plan and then buy the lifetime purchase, the yearly plan is not cancelled automatically: cancel it in your Apple Account settings so that it does not renew.
We may add, change or remove features, competitions and sources of information, and we may stop offering the app. We try to keep the service running but do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors.
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no warranties about the app or the information in it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by late, missing or incorrect information or alerts, by outages, or by decisions you make based on what the app shows. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
These terms are governed by the law of Romania. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country.
If this page changes, the new version will be published here with a new date. If a change is important, the app or its App Store page will say so. By installing or using MatchFlare you confirm that you have read this page.
