Where does the weather data come from?
Viento uses Apple Weather through WeatherKit. Data and feature availability vary by location. Severe weather alerts and minute-by-minute precipitation are available only in supported regions.
Can I use Viento for free?
Yes. Current, Hourly, 10 Days, Wind, Light, Air, and Pressure are free, along with three saved places in addition to your current location and the small Current Weather widget. Viento+ is an optional monthly or annual subscription.
Does Viento work on iPad?
Yes. Viento is available for iPhone and iPad running iOS 18 or iPadOS 18 and later.
Can I choose my language and units?
Viento speaks English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, and Brazilian Portuguese. Units start with your regional preferences, and you can change temperature, wind, precipitation, distance, and pressure units in Settings.
What happens when I go offline?
Previously loaded forecasts remain available when your connection drops. Viento lets you know when it cannot refresh, so you can distinguish saved weather from a fresh update.
Do I need an account?
No Viento account is needed, and there are no ads. Your settings and saved places are stored locally first. With Viento+, you can choose to sync them using your own iCloud account.
